A course of 3 – 6 SkinPen treatments is recommended to achieve optimal results. Your 3D Ultimate therapist will recommend the number of treatments required for your skin during your consultation.
Some clients will see results of healthier, glowing skin immediately after their first SkinPen treatment, but a full course is recommended in order to achieve long-lasting results.
A topical cream is applied to numb the treatment area. Treatment time will vary depending on the size of the area and the severity of damage/scarring to the area. You may experience slight discomfort during the procedure.
Following the procedure, you may experience reddening and sensitivity in the treatment area for 24 – 48 hours. Some clients take this time to recover but if your treatment takes place in an area you are able to cover, there is no reason why you shouldn't be able to return to work straight away and carry on with your life. If you have a SkinPen treatment on your face, you are not able to apply makeup to your face for 24 hours after the procedure.
